Coming
from North America
Via
Puerto Rico
From North America, the most common way to fly down here is
through San Juan in Puerto Rico.
American Airlines have flights from most cities daily. They
have a modern terminal in Puerto Rico and offer connecting flights
through American Eagle to our airport which is located on Beef
Island in the British Virgin Islands. Beef Island is connected
to Tortola, the main island, by a bridge.
If
you are unable to connect to the British Virgin Islands with
American Eagle then we suggest trying LIAT,
Cape Air or
Air Sunshine Alternatively, if you would like a convenient
VIP service you might like to try Fly
BVI. Based at the BVI's Beef Island airport they offer air-charter
pickups in one of their small fleet of light aircraft. They
are comparably priced for groups of over four passengers and
offer the convenience of working to your schedule.
The
last couple of years have seen other airlines flying into Puerto
Rico, often with more attractive fares. We definitely recommend
checking to see if any of those airlines routes are close to
your point of departure.
Via
St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands
Some
airlines offer a direct flight to St. Thomas. Motor yacht
La Buscadora can be waiting for you at American Yacht Harbor
in Red Hook and transfer you over to Tortola for an extra fee
of $400 each way. A quicker way, and comparably priced, is by
water taxi. Your broker can contact us for more information.
Alternatively
a taxi from the airport will take you to the ferry dock in downtown
Charlotte Amalie and you can take the ferry across to Tortola,
BVI. Reservations are not necessary. Ferries run four or five
times daily and the cost is $44 round trip.
For
your convenience, we have provided a short list of airlines.
